Baseball Recap: Bishop Hendricken's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Bishop Hendricken extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping their season record up to 19-4 in the process. They came out on top against the Pilgrim Patriots by a score of 9-4. Nine seems to be a good number for the Hawks as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

The team relied heavily on Cullen Crain, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Maher, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Bishop Hendricken was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pilgrim only posted a batting average of .222.

As for Pilgrim, their loss dropped their record down to 8-12. They have struggled against Bishop Hendricken recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

On Pilgrim's side, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Derek Asciolla, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Bishop Hendricken has already played their next game, a 10-6 defeat against Xaverian Brothers on the 25th. Pilgrim does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
