Basketball Game Preview: Plano Wildcats vs. Plano East Panthers

Last Friday, Plano came up short against McKinney Boyd and fell 48-38.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Plano East). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Rock Hill 97-46. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Plano East pushed their record up to 21-4 with the win, which was their 22nd straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.1 points per game. As for Plano, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-18 record this season.

Plano might still be hurting after the 62-40 loss they got from Plano East in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Can Plano avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
