Basketball Recap: Ohio E Drops Highest Score of Season Against Harvest Temple Christian Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ohio E). They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 37-35 victory over Harvest Temple Christian Academy on Saturday. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against Harvest Temple Christian Academy last Saturday, they had to take a 37-16 loss.

Belle Sohar and Kaylan Pethtel certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Sohar posted eight points and 17 rebounds, while Pethtel scored five points in addition to eight boards and five assists. The dominant performance gave Pethtel a new career-high in boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Bailey Pethtel, who earned seven points.

Ohio E's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Harvest Temple Christian Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season.

When Ohio E and Harvest Temple Christian Academy next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Ohio E will try to stop Monclova Christian Academy's four-game winning streak when the meet at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Similarly, Harvest Temple Christian Academy will challenge Dominion Academy and their three-game winning streak at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
