Basketball Game Preview: Joliet West Tigers vs. Yorkville Foxes + How To Watch

For the first time this season, Joliet West will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will take on the Yorkville Foxes at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Joliet West is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

Joliet West is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Providence Catholic on Wednesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Tigers were outmatched by the Celtics and fell 68-33. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 52-22.

Despite their defeat, Joliet West saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Temperance Jackson, who posted 12 points, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Jada Thompson, who had ten points.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Yorkville). They claimed a resounding 76-47 victory over Oak Park-River Forest. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Foxes with their most commanding win of the season.

The win made it two in a row for Yorkville and bumps their season record up to 3-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.5 points over those games. As for Joliet West, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Joliet West might still be hurting after the 71-50 defeat they got from Yorkville when the teams last played back in January. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
