West Mifflin dropped their record down to 10-5 on Monday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Laurel Highlands Mustangs by a score of 5-4. The Titans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mustangs earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

As for Laurel Highlands, their record now sits at 6-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since April 10, 2024.

For Laurel Highlands' part, Payton Senge spent all nine innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up 13 Ks. Senge has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Payton Rambo, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double.

West Mifflin didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 20-1 win against Oakland Catholic on the 1st. As for Laurel Highlands, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 6-3 defeat against Belle Vernon on the 29th.
