Basketball Recap: Northview Takes a Loss

Northview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a blow against the Laurel Hill Hoboes, falling 74-25. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Chiefs of the 63-21 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.

Despite the loss, Northview saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Avery Stuckey posted 13 points.

Aiyana Dixon continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Laurel Hill, putting up 25 points. Dixon's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Savannah Riley, who put up 14 points.

Northview's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Laurel Hill, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Northview didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 69-15 loss against Jay on the 10th. Laurel Hill has also already played their next game, a 70-46 defeat against Paxton on the 10th.
