Volleyball Recap: Northmor Golden Knights vs. East Knox Bulldogs
Northmor was the 3-0 winner over East Knox when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Golden Knights fell 3-1 to the Bulldogs on Tuesday.
Northmor was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made East Knox work for it, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 28-26, 25-16, 24-26, 25-22.
Despite the loss, Northmor saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Mary Dean had 16 digs and one assist. Hannah James also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.
East Knox's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Savannah Crawford led the charge by getting 12 digs and two assists. That's the most assists Crawford has posted since back in August of 2024.
Northmor's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-3. As for East Knox, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.
Northmor didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Mt. Gilead on the 4th. As for East Knox, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Fredericktown on the 4th.
