It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Del Campo ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They won by a run and slipped past the Ponderosa Bruins 6-5. The Cougars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bruins, too.
Logan Smith tossed a big game, pitching seven innings while giving up just one earned run off eight hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.
