Recap: CHASE vs. Faith Baptist
CHASE lost against Faith Baptist back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. CHASE fell just short of Faith Baptist by a score of 46-43. It was the first time this season that CHASE let down their fans at home.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Faith Baptist to victory, but perhaps none more so than Amy Ahrens, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. Ahrens is crushing the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Ahrens, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
CHASE's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-3. As for Faith Baptist, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 13-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. CHASE will take on Juniata Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. CHASE's defense has only allowed 29.6 points per game this season, so Juniata Christian's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Faith Baptist, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rochester Hills Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Rochester Hills Christian is coming into the match with three straight victories on the road, so Faith Baptist is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
