Recap: Seneca Bobcats vs. Franklin County Lions
The Seneca Bobcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 22 points or more this season. They were the clear victor by a 70-47 margin over Franklin County. Given Seneca's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 45th in South Carolina, while Franklin County is ranked 330th in Georgia), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Jalen Craig, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 16 rebounds. The match was his ninth in a row with at least ten points. Stu Finley was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with eight rebounds.
The victory (which was Seneca's eighth in a row) raised their record to 8-1. As for Franklin County, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seneca will square off against Belton-Honea Path at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Belton-Honea Path will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. As for Franklin County, they will head out on the road to face off against Jackson County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Jackson County has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 280 points over their last four contests.
