Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Salem Hills). They walked away with a 62-55 win over the Springville Red Devils on Friday. For the Skyhawks, this counts as revenge for the 49-46 victory the Red Devils walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Salem Hills' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chenielle Nye, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 boards. The dominant performance also gave Nye a new career-high in blocks (three). Another player making a difference was Brooke Warren, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds.

Salem Hills smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in three consecutive games.

Several Red Devils players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sami DeLlamas, who posted 12 points and five boards. Hattie Templeman was another key player, putting up 12 points and three steals.

Salem Hills' record is now 12-3. As for Springville, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season.

Salem Hills has already played their next match, a 49-28 victory against Spanish Fork on the 14th. As for Springville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 47-44 win against Maple Mountain on the 14th.
