Baseball Recap: Parrish Community Gets the Win

Parrish Community's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over the Braden River Pirates. The victory continues a trend for the Bulls in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now won seven in a row.

Mason Plese looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Parrish Community's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Brown, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

Parrish Community now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Braden River, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Coming up, Parrish Community will face off against Southeast at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Braden River, they will take on IMG Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
