Baseball Recap: Fremont Takes a Loss

Fremont had taken Santa Clara down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Firebirds fell 5-1 to the Bruins. That's two games in a row now that the Firebirds have lost by exactly four runs.

This is the second loss in a row for Fremont and nudges their season record down to 15-6. As for Santa Clara, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Fremont is set to square off against their familiar foe Cupertino at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Santa Clara will face off against rival Saratoga at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
