Baseball Game Preview: Jal Panthers vs. Loving Falcons

Jal hasn't had much luck against Loving recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Panthers are taking a road trip to face off against the Falcons at 11:00 a.m. Jal is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.

It was a proper cat-fight when Jal faced off against Eunice on Tuesday. The Panthers fell just short of the Cardinals by a score of 4-3.

Cristian Diaz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned runs on nine hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Jal saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adam Juarez, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Loving entered their tilt with Texico on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 10-7 win over the Wolverines.

Jal's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Loving, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Jal suffered a grim 15-6 defeat to Loving in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
