Football Recap: Winfield-Mt. Union Comes Up Short

Winfield-Mt. Union lost against Iowa Valley back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wolves took a blow against the Tigers, falling 69-22. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Winfield-Mt. Union's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Iowa Valley, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Winfield-Mt. Union will square off against H-L-V on Friday. The Wolves will be up against the Warriors' rather soft defense (which has allowed 44 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Iowa Valley, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on English Valleys at 7:00 p.m. on October 10.
