Recap: Chilton County Tigers vs. Elmore County Panthers
The Chilton County Tigers waltzed into Tuesday's contest with four straight wins but they left with five. They walked away with a 49-41 victory over Elmore County. That's another feather in the cap for Chilton County, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Chilton County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Iasia Anderson led the charge by dropping a double-double on 14 points and 11 steals. Anderson is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyeshia Williams, who scored 9 points along with 17 rebounds and 5 assists.
Chilton County has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Elmore County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
Chilton County will head out on the road to face off against Wetumpka at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Elmore County, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Thorsby at 5:30 p.m. on December 8th. Thorsby will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 325th, while Elmore County is ranked 145th).
