Softball Recap: Pell City Panthers vs. Hewitt-Trussville Huskies

Pell City fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Hewitt-Trussville on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hewitt-Trussville Huskies. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Huskies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 last Friday.

Pell City saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Briley Goodgame, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits Goodgame has posted since back in February. Another was Kensley Evans, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

As for Hewitt-Trussville, they will face off against Hartselle at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
