Softball Game Preview: Archbishop McNicholas Rockets vs. Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy Eagles

The Archbishop McNicholas Rockets will face off against the Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Archbishop McNicholas is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.

Archbishop McNicholas took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Batavia, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Rockets had just enough and edged out the Bulldogs 12-11. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Megan Richardson was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Grace Reuss, who went 2-for-4 with three runs and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 15-8 to Sycamore.

Raven Horton made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Archbishop McNicholas, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-10.
