Baseball Recap: Overton Takes a Loss

Overton fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Hillsboro on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Burros by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Bobcats couldn't push the score so high this time.

Overton saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nathan Lombard, who went 2-for-3 with one run. Another was Landen Griffey, who got on base in two of his five plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.

Overton's loss dropped their record down to 18-15. As for Hillsboro, their win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-8.

As of now, neither Overton nor the Burros have any future games scheduled.
