Volleyball Recap: King Wins High-Profile Match Against Hopkins

King faced Hopkins in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Vikings put the hurt on the Hilltoppers with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Hilltoppers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

King not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Hopkins between 16 and 19 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-17, 25-19.

Emily McKee paced King's offense, picking up 17 kills. McKee got some help from Maria Victoria Triantafyllos and her 28 assists. McKee was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

King's victory bumped their record up to 15-0. As for Hopkins, they moved to 5-2 with that loss, which also ended their four-match winning streak.

Coming up, King will square off against Loomis Chaffee School at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopkins does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
