Softball Recap: Eastland Comes Up Short

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Eastland and Warren/Stockton meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Cougars might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 8-2 to the Warhawks, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cougars of the 20-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.

Eastland's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Warren/Stockton, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Coming up, Eastland will challenge Polo at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Warren/Stockton, they are taking a road trip to challenge Orangeville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Broncos will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Warhawks surely won't give up without a fight.
