Basketball Recap: Valley Continues Road Dominance on Wednesday

Valley extended their road winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Eric Slim. The Valley Pirates secured a 55-51 W over the Window Rock Fighting Scouts on Wednesday thanks in part to Slim, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 13 rebounds. That's the most rebounds he has posted since back in December of 2023.

Another player making a difference was Laurent Roan, who posted four points and seven steals. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 2.5 steals per game.

Valley has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 5-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.6 points per game. As for Window Rock, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-8.

Valley and San Carlos will compete for holiday cheer at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully San Carlos likes a good challenge. Window Rock will take on Tuba City in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
