After a string of 11 wins, Marshall's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spring Hill Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mavericks of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2023.

Marshall's defeat dropped their record down to 17-4. As for Spring Hill, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-4.

Marshall didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Bullard on the 4th. As for Spring Hill, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Canton on the 4th.
