Basketball Game Preview: West Caldwell Tech Eagles vs. Nutley Maroon Raiders

The West Caldwell Tech Eagles and the Nutley Maroon Raiders will compete for holiday cheer at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Last Thursday, West Caldwell Tech was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 46-40 to West Orange.

Meanwhile, Nutley posted their biggest win since December 27, 2023 on Thursday. Everything went their way against Golda Och Academy as Nutley made off with a 60-34 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Maroon Raiders.

West Caldwell Tech dropped their record down to 1-1 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Nutley, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-0.

West Caldwell Tech beat Nutley 55-44 in their previous matchup back in February. The rematch might be a little tougher for West Caldwell Tech since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
