Basketball Recap: Central Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Central can now relate to. They took a 54-38 bruising from the Crystal Lake Central Tigers on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Rockets in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now lost five in a row.

Despite the defeat, Central saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ainsley Wilson posted eight points and five boards.

Central's loss dropped their record down to 12-20. As for Crystal Lake Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won 15 of their last 18 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-9 record this season.

Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Crystal Lake Central, they have already played their next game, a 62-32 defeat against Sterling on the 25th.
