While Scott City's victory against Valle Catholic wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Rams narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Warriors 7-6. The victory was some much needed relief for the Rams as it spelled an end to their eight-game losing streak.
Reese Carter made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed 6.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. Carter was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Scott City let Summer Wagner and Halle Comer run wild. Wagner went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run, while Comer went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
