Softball Recap: Rhodes Takes a Loss

After soaring to 11 runs the game before, Rhodes was a bit more limited in their match on Wednesday. They came up short against the Villa Angela-St. Joseph Vikings, falling 14-2. The game marked the Rams' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Rhodes' defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Villa Angela-St. Joseph, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4.

Looking ahead, Rhodes will be playing at home against Cleveland Central Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Rams are facing the Ironmen at the right time seeing as the Ironmen are stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Villa Angela-St. Joseph, they are taking a road trip to square off against Euclid at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.9 runs per game on average), something the Vikings will no doubt try to take advantage of.
