Basketball Recap: Heritage Christian Comes Up Short

Heritage Christian saw some tournament action on Friday. They took an 81-62 bruising from the Forge Christian Fury.

Despite the defeat, Heritage Christian saw an underclassman step up: freshman Guede Wade dropped a double-double with 21 points and 12 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Nevarez, who shot 55% from the field en route to 17 points and three blocks.

Levi Clark had a dynamite game For Forge Christian., dropping a double-double with 34 points and 12 rebounds. Those 34 points gave Clark a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Treysen Eye, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 11 boards.

Heritage Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Forge Christian, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Heritage Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 45-32 defeat against Wiggins on the 6th. As for Forge Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 52-46 victory against Fort Morgan on the 6th.
