Baseball Recap: Greene County Takes a Loss

Greene County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the West Marshall Trojans, falling 11-4. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rams of the 12-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in June of 2024.

Greene County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for West Marshall, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-6.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Greene County is set to face off against their familiar foe South Hamilton at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, West Marshall will take on rival Nevada at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Trojans 3.2, the Cubs 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
