Samarrah Desir and Aubrey Curry secure win for Island Coast

Recap: Island Coast Gators vs. Oasis Sharks
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Ida Baker, the Island Coast Gators were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 36-14 margin over Oasis. That looming 36-14 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Island Coast yet this season.
Island Coast was led to victory by Samarrah Desir and Aubrey Curry. Desir scored eight points along with three steals, while Curry scored 12 points along with two steals. Faith Hershman was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Island Coast's win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-7. As for Oasis, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9.
Island Coast won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Cypress Lake at 7:30 p.m. on January 12th. As for Oasis, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Immokalee at 6:30 p.m.
