Volleyball Recap: Brazoswood Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Brazoswood had to endure an eight-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Sterling Rangers on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 last Saturday.

Brazoswood walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-19, 25-13, 14-25, 25-21.

Rylee Skinner had an outrageously good game as she had five digs and five aces. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (18).

Skinner wasn't the only good server: Brazoswood was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in three consecutive contests.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 7-15. As for Sterling, their defeat was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-5.

Coming up, Brazoswood will host Benjamin Davis at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Sterling, they will be taking part in a tournament against Clear Creek at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday.
