Basketball Recap: Wingate Comes Up Short

Wingate lost against Brooklyn College Academy back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wingate Generals took a hard 56-38 fall against Brooklyn College Academy. The game marked the Generals' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Wingate's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Brooklyn College Academy, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wingate will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Brooklyn Prospect at 5:00 p.m. on February 4th. As for Brooklyn College Academy, they will venture away from home to challenge Tilden at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Brooklyn College Academy is facing Tilden at the right time seeing as Tilden is stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
