Soccer Game Preview: Hilliard Darby vs. Marysville

The Hilliard Darby Panthers will challenge the Marysville Monarchs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Hilliard Darby took a five-goal defeat the last time they faced off against Bishop Watterson, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Panthers never let the Eagles get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Saturday. The win was all the more spectacular given Hilliard Darby's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 200th, while Bishop Watterson are ranked seventh).

Meanwhile, Marysville managed to keep up with Grove City until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Monarchs came up short against the Greyhounds, falling 5-0. Marysville have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Marysville's loss dropped their record down to 5-9-1. As for Hilliard Darby, their victory bumped their record up to 3-8-4.
