Brentwood Academy has gone 9-1 against Father Ryan recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. After each having a week off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Brentwood Academy has seven straight victories, Father Ryan has seven straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

While Brentwood Academy's win against Briarcrest Christian wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Saints 34-31. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee football rankings (they are ranked fourth, while the Saints are ranked 33rd) , the result last Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Larry Sanders II was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 170 yards and one touchdown.

Brentwood Academy didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Briarcrest Christian to a completion percentage of just 45%. The Eagles weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 64.3%.

Brentwood Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Roman Jennings and Troy Porties.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Father Ryan's offense. They were outmatched by Montgomery Bell Academy and fell 42-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Irish haven't been shut out since back in September.

Father Ryan's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Brentwood Academy, their win bumped their record up to 7-0.

Everything went Brentwood Academy's way against Father Ryan in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as Brentwood Academy made off with a 43-20 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Irish's Mason Bryant, who picked up 146 receiving yards and one TD.
