Basketball Game Preview: Noble Knights vs. Sanford Spartans

The Noble Knights will head out to challenge the Sanford Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Noble knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Sanford likes a good challenge.

If Noble beats Sanford with 63 points on Tuesday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. Noble came out on top against Westbrook by a score of 63-54 on Thursday. That's two games straight that the Knights have won by exactly nine points.

Meanwhile, Sanford came into Friday's contest having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They took down Bonny Eagle 71-56 on Friday.

Noble's win was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.7 points per game. As for Sanford, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-9.

Noble came up short against Sanford when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 88-75. Can Noble avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
