Baseball Recap: Fremont Comes Up Short

Fremont extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to seven on Monday, dropping their season record down to 0-6 in the process. They lost 16-1 to the Oakland Tech Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-9 last Wednesday.

As for Oakland Tech, their record now sits at 13-9. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by seven runs or more this season.

For Oakland Tech's part, they got a massive performance out of Hayden Burton, who went 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. The Bulldogs are undefeated when Burton posts two or more runs, but 6-9 otherwise. Jordan Smith was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base.

As of now, neither Fremont nor Oakland Tech have any future games scheduled.
