Basketball Recap: Butternut Homeschoolers Picks Up Ninth Consecutive Win

Butternut HomeSchoolers strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 106-101 W against the Bilingual Christian Academy & Tech Tigers. While Butternut HomeSchoolers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 0-6), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Butternut HomeSchoolers got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Glenjamin Dellegenaramos out in front who made all 14 shots he took from beyond the arc to post 68 points in addition to 27 blocks and 24 boards. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Dellegenaramos has scored at least a third of Butternut HomeSchoolers' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Quandale Dingle, who shot 4-for-5 from downtown and dropped a triple-double with 44 points, 39 rebounds, and 13 blocks.

Butternut HomeSchoolers' win bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Bilingual Christian Academy & Tech, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Coming up, Butternut HomeSchoolers will take on Wixom Christian at 9:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bilingual Christian Academy & Tech, they will take on Homestead in a tournament on the 28th.
