Baseball Recap: Loogootee Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Loogootee challenged North Daviess on Monday. The Lions came up short against the Cougars, falling 15-3. The Lions just can't catch a break and have now endured six defeats in a row.

Loogootee's record now sits at 1-8. As for North Daviess, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4-1 record this season.

Loogootee will venture away from home to face off against Barr-Reeve at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Vikings' pitching crew has only allowed 1.7 runs per game this season, so the Lions' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for North Daviess, they will be playing at home against Linton-Stockton at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
