Soccer Game Preview: Loris vs. Georgetown

Loris is 2-8 against Georgetown since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Loris Lions will look to defend their home pitch against the Georgetown Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Loris hadn't beaten Aynor on the road since March 22, 2022 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was Loris who was credited with the victory. Loris got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to Aynor's three.

Georgetown will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Dillon on Friday. Georgetown blew past Dillon 5-1.

Georgetown hit Dillon with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Joey Ellison (2), Ami Fontanez (2), and Angel Marquez Cobos.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-3. As for Loris, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
