Baseball Recap: Dixon Takes a Loss

Vanden hit Dixon with a eight-run fifth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Rams came up short against the Vikings, falling 12-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rams of the 5-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2020.

Dixon saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aiden Schouten, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.

Dixon's defeat dropped their record down to 9-17-1. As for Vanden, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-16.

Coming up, Dixon will welcome Natomas at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. The Rams are facing the Nighthawks at the right time seeing as the Nighthawks are stuck on a 24-game losing streak. As for Vanden, they will take on Vacaville Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
