It's playoff time, and McPherson had no trouble coming through when it counted. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Tonganoxie Chieftains 3-1. The victory was nothing new for the Bullpups as they're now sitting on 14 straight.
Ian Razak spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in nine consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Brody Seidl was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April.
McPherson's win bumped their record up to 30-3. As for Tonganoxie, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-10-2.
