It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Wayne had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They managed a 54-50 victory over the Keyser Golden Tornado. Winning may never get old, but the Pioneers sure are getting used to it with their 12th in a row.

Wayne got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaycelyn Sammons out in front who posted 12 points and three steals. Sammons has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 17 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of MiKayla Stacy, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.

Wayne's record now sits at 20-4. As for Keyser, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 19-5.

Wayne has already played their next match, a 69-57 victory against Greenbrier East on the 14th. Keyser does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
