Softball Game Preview: Chewelah Cougars vs. Davenport Gorillas

For the second straight game, Chewelah will face off against Davenport. The Cougars will welcome the Gorillas at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Chewelah's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last four games.

Chewelah came up short against Davenport on Friday, falling 21-12.

Savannah Acosta was cooking despite her team's loss, going 4-for-5 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Charlie Fuller, who scored a run while going 3-for-5.

Davenport's win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-6. As for Chewelah, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 2-6.
