Baseball Recap: Arundel Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Arundel, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They blew past the Southern Bulldogs 12-3 on Monday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-4 two weeks ago.

Nicholas Billheimer and Cayden Devers did most of the damage at the plate: Billheimer scored three runs while going 4-for-4, while Devers scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Those stolen bases marked the first that Devers snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Rowland Thursby, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-4.

They weren't the only one making solid contact: Arundel kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They are 2-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Arundel's win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Southern, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.
