Softball Recap: Miller Takes a Loss

Miller lost against Alice back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Miller came up short against Alice, falling 22-8.

Isabella Campos made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Jaselle Salinas, who went 1-for-2 with one home run.

Even though they lost, Miller lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in March of 2024.

Miller has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season. Alice's record is now 9-16.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Miller will take on rival Flour Bluff at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Alice is set to square off against their familiar foe Ray at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
