Basketball Recap: Clarence Red Devils vs. Cardinal O'Hara Hawks
Clarence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 67-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cardinal O'Hara Hawks.
Cardinal O'Hara's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Eli Chaney led the charge by dropping a triple-double with 14 points, ten boards, and ten assists. Chaney is becoming a predictor of the Hawks' success: when he posts at least eight rebounds the team is 2-1 (and 1-4 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Kayden Goldsmith, who shot 62% from the field en route to 17 points and five steals.
