The Priory Panthers are taking a road trip to take on the Crystal Springs Uplands Gryphons at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
While Priory's victory against Harker wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Priory came out on top in a nail-biter against Harker on Thursday, sneaking past 9-7. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Kai Aalfs made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed three innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Matthew Sun, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Owen Lee, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.
Priory was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .419. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Harker only posted a batting average of .222.
Meanwhile, Crystal Springs Uplands is still undefeated this season after their match against More on Monday, but More came as close as anyone has to beating them. Crystal Springs Uplands had just enough and edged out More 3-1. While the Gryphons didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
Rohan Seiber spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up 11 Ks.
At the plate, Nico Abad was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Crystal Springs Uplands' victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-0. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.4 runs over those games. As for Priory, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Crystal Springs Uplands' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Priory hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .344. It's a different story for Crystal Springs Uplands, though, as they've only averaged .231. Will they be able to contain Priory's hitters?
Priory might still be hurting after the 10-4 defeat they got from Crystal Springs Uplands in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can Priory avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
