For the first time this season, Lincoln will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Monday. They will host the Jacksonville Golden Eagles at 5:00 p.m. Lincoln's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Jacksonville's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Lincoln is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Ohatchee on Thursday as Lincoln made off with a 12-1 victory. While the Golden Bears didn't have the best season last year (they finished 14-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
Shelby Williams was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits (and only one walk). That's the fewest earned runs she has allowed since back in February of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Lincoln got a big performance out of Natalie Harrell, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2. The dominant performance also gave Harrell a new career-high in RBI (two). Another player making a difference was Kinsley Crow, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, Jacksonville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 8-3 to Prattville Christian Academy.
Jacksonville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dailyn Wood, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Jacksonville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Lincoln, their win bumped their record up to 10-3.
Monday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Lincoln hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .324. However, it's not like Jacksonville struggles in that department as they've averaged .405. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
