Basketball Recap: Mater Dei Knights vs. Miller Career Academy
Even though Miller Career Academy scored an imposing 55 points on Saturday, the Mater Dei Knights still came out on top. Mater Dei took their game against the 65-55. This was payback for Mater Dei, who suffered a 79-53 loss the last time these two teams met.
Garrick Winkeler was a one-man wrecking crew for Mater Dei as he scored 22 points along with seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Winkeler has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Lampe, who scored 11 points.
Mater Dei's victory bumped their record up to 14-15. As for Miller Career Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 8-12.
Mater Dei will head out on the road to take on the Rams at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. MICDS will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line. As for Miller Career Academy, they will be playing at home against the Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Vashon has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 366 points over their last five matchups.
