Baseball Recap: New Glarus Glarner Knights vs. Marshall Cardinals
It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but New Glarus ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They won by a run and slipped past the Marshall Cardinals 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Glarner Knights: when they faced off against the Cardinals last Tuesday, they had to take a 5-3 defeat.
Nolan Julseth was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He tossed seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits. Julseth was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Landon Stelter was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
